Book of Acts - All about Real Experience Today - Often All about Right Doctrine

"In Acts the Holy Spirit is not a silent influence but an experienced power. Believers experienced the baptism in the Holy Spirit. They didn’t just believe it happened because an apostle said so." - Jon Piper

Difference between head knowledge & a Real, Life-Changing Experience

Luke 11:13
Acts 2:37-39
Christmas vs Christmas Presents "Gift - Something that is given"

Not using a gift results in 1) The gift receiver's loss 2) The gift giver's sorrow

People filled (Peter, John, Barnabas, Stephen, Paul, Cornelius) Acts 19:1-7
HOW could Paul ask this ?? Since he wrote :
Ephesians 1:13

BECAUSE - Difference between the "Sealed Christian Life" and the "Filled Christian Life"

19:4 - John's "Sealed Christian" Baptism - Repentance & belief in Jesus

INWARD Manifestation - GOOD!

But Jesus said - Acts 1:5, 8 -

for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (v 8) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth

19:6 - Jesus' "Filled Christian" Baptism - Speaking in tongues & prophesying. OUTWARD manifestation - COMPLETE!
