Learning the Power of Praying the Word
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
1 John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
We need to pray with confidence to be effective in prayer.
We need to pray the will of God in order to be confident.
We need to pray the Word of God (scriptures) in order to guarantee that we are praying the will of God.
The call of the Watchman is a call to a ministry of Reminding God:
On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, 7 and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.
Daniel, Nehemiah, Elijah, and others reminded God of what he said and then power and favor were released.
There is a literal supernatural power that is engaged when we pray the Scriptures by the Spirit of God.
Let us together learn how to activate the promises and power of God in our lives and our cities by praying the word of God in Jesus’ name.
Every believer can learn to pray the scriptures. It is simple yet profound.
