Matthew 12:50

“For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

"The greatest living metaphor of the church is - FAMILY. The Church is not a business, a club, or an organization. It is a dynamic supernatural family that is manifesting the life and values of the Father God throughout the earth. We want to unpack the nature of this kingdom family tomorrow and re-commit our lives to living, loving, and growing by the Spirit that dwells in us all together.”

It is the relational interaction of this family that manifests and advances the kingdom of God on earth.

The earth began with two, Adam and Eve, and even after a global flood has reached seven billion and an earth full of cities.

This is the result of families and families’ relationships growing and growing to this elaborate society.

Likewise, the church is to function as a dynamic supernatural family.

Dynamics of this Eternal Family: The Church

1. Families have similar DNA or Name - John 3:3,5-6

John 3:3,5-6

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

2. Families core value is enduring practical love - John 13:35

John 13:35

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

3. Families exercise agreement to accomplish things - Matthew 28:18-19

Matthew 28:18-19

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

4. Families must fight together against enemies - Ephesians 6:10-12

Ephesians 6:10-12

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

5. Families grow in maturity and numbers - Acts 6:7

Acts 6:7

And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.
