1. “Resist a Babylonian spirit by stretching out your dwellings”

Genesis 11:1-9

Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and theres confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.” 8 So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

A Babylonian spirit wants to, even for sincere purposes, find a place and gather and gather and build and build instead of stretching out and filling, trusting the Lord to provide for us.

Isaiah 54:2-3

“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.

We are called to send and spread and we are attempting to obey this.

Gathering and building our own thing, even for God, will not be blessed.

Spreading out and filling will garner the blessing of the Lord.

2. "Appointed Time"

In prayer yesterday, while waiting and listening I clearly heard:

"This is the "appointed time" for the answer of many prayers prayed in the past, even decades ago."

Felt like this was in the language of Habakkuk 2:2-3

And the LORD answered me: "Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. 3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

I feel we should be expecting answers to many prayers we have prayed to start manifesting around us.

3. "Build my people to be my living House of Prayer"

I believe the Spirit has been saying to me, and said again this week - that he wants the church to be the Living House of Prayer.

We have a general as well as a specific call to prayer as a spiritual family.

We are not Jerusalem, we are Antioch.

Jerusalem required persecution to send the gospel out.

Antioch was moved out by revelation received in a culture of prayer.

Acts 13:1-3

Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

We have some tremendous assignments in prayer beloved.

  - We are called to pray in a miracle (Great Harvest) in our local cities.

  - We are called to pray in a miracle of Kingdom Advance in multiple U.S. cities.

  - We are called to pray in a miracle Harvest in multiple nations of the earth.

I believe he wants us as a spiritual family to organically and relationally steward a daily, persistent Praise & Prayer ministry that moves heaven upon earth.
