An equipping ministry to Disciple the Church.
A mission base to Send the Church.
6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you He will not fail you or forsake you.
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
1 Samuel 17:34-37
34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock,
35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.
36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.
37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
26 For the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.
13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence(boldness) to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The Scriptures in many different ways communicate that the Lord calls for and expects His people to walk in confidence and boldness.
In order to fully worship and fully minister we must have a spirit of confidence and boldness.
Sadly, there is an epidemic plague of insecurity in the shepherds and saints in the body of Christ.
This plague of insecurity is robbing us of deeper experience in the presence of God and greater success in the purpose of God.
1. uncertainty or anxiety about oneself; lack of confidence.
Insecurity is the heart culture produced by Pride and Fear.
Confidence is the heart culture produced by Humility and Faith.
Many leaders in the Bible struggled with insecurity:
There is a difference between Fleshly Pride and Spiritual Confidence.
One is rooted in self and the other in the Spirit.
The Lord will not be Bold and Confident for us - we must choose and mature in this.
The enemy has a vested interest in producing debilitating insecurity in the people of God.
The Lord reveals, in the life of King David, that true spiritual confidence for His presence and His destiny is found in heart intimacy with the Lord.
1 Samuel 13:14
14 But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”
* David was unusually bold as he entered the presence of God and the battlefield in the name of God because He was a man that had come to know the HEART OF GOD.
Knowing God’s Heart:
1. Satisfies the God-designed longings in our heart.
2. Heals the wounds that hinder our heart.
3. Drives out the fears that plague our heart.
4. Frees us from man’s approval that chains our heart.
5. Reveals to us the Grace of God that empowers our heart.
Song of Solomon 2:14
14 O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the crannies of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.
